HARRISON – The New York Red Bulls have added some depth to their fullback corps — and not a moment too soon.

Former Tampa Bay Rowdies left fullback Anthony Wallace joins New York, returning to the ranks of Major League Soccer for the first time in a year.  He will be available to play this weekend against the Columbus Crew.

“We are excited to add Anthony to our club,” Red Bulls sporting director Ali Curtis said. “Anthony has experience in MLS and performed well in preseason camp with the team. His style of play and the type of person he is fits what we are looking to establish with our organization.”

Wallace, 26, has spent most of his career as a utility player in the league, playing a small part in the Colorado Rapids’ 2010 MLS Cup run.

Wallace trained and trailed with the Red Bulls this preseason and will be in contention for minutes this weekend with both Roy Miller and Kemar Lawrence unavailable for duty.
