The Baby Bulls have their first piece of hardware.

New York Red Bull II cruised to a 4-1 win over Harrisburg City Islanders at Millersville University on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Red Bulls II are this year’s United Soccer League Regular Season Champions.

Noah Powder and Vincent Bezecourt scored two goals a piece in a dominating performance by Red Bull II. New York now pulls within one point of securing the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Vincent Bezecourt broke through for NYRB II in the 23rd minute, beating Keasel Broome and setting the pace for the remainder of the game. Despite having the better of the opportunities, New York couldn’t find a second goal before the end of the first half. Adding to their woes, Tyler Adams was taken out of the game with an apparent injury.

The second half was an all out assault by Red Bull II. Despite surrendering the lead to Cardel Benow, Noah Powder’s effort in the 62nd minute put the team in front — and they never looked back. Bezecourt scored a brace and Harrisburg had no answer for the onslaught for the remainder of the game.

New York was able to secure their seventh straight win, this time without the use of Ryan Meara or Brandon Allen. Next up is a tough trip to Rhinos Stadium where Red Bull II will face a team in Rochester that they have yet to beat in their short two year history.
