Connor Lade returns to Cosmos after brief Red Bull run

Since his loan from the New York Red Bulls to the Cosmos, Connor Lade’s life has been much like a soccer ball; bouncing around from team to team.

That is about to change.

After receiving a dubious second yellow card against Montreal in CONCACAF Champions League action, Lade’s recent Red Bull run came to a sudden halt. Unavailable for Wednesday’s match against CD FAS, and with a healthy Red Bull roster returning to action against Seattle this Saturday, the St. John’s product has been sent back to the Cosmos for the remainder of the season.

“I’m really excited to be back with the team,” he said. “I wasn’t away that long so it’s easy coming back and transitioning back in with the guys. I’m anxious to keep going with what we started.”

In his brief stint back in MLS, Lade performed admirably for his parent side, even though he was ejected from the match late in the second half.  Labeled “a little pitbull” by head coach Mike Petke, Lade certainly showed that fire, playing a pesky and vicious role as the team’s central defensive midfielder.

With the roster freeze in full effect, this will be the final loan-back for the Red Bulls’ homegrown player, allowing him to now concentrate on the final seven matches of the year — including this weekend’s clash against the Carolina Railhawks.

“I’m glad I didn’t have to miss too much time and that I didn’t miss any games,” he continued.  “I’m looking forward to this weekend and continuing to build on what we’ve done the past couple of games and get some more wins.”

Kid sounds like he wants to be back with the Cosmos ! Read into what he says over the past few days. Morons like you that keep giving your money to a corrupt league that’s run just like the NFL. Keep your MLS & shove it up your ass !
