New York Cosmos to host training on Intrepid


NEW YORK – The New York Cosmos have found a novel way of showcasing their club in Manhattan.

In a press release sent earlier this morning, the Cosmos have announced a special training to be held on the deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum on Tuesday, September 8th at 1 p.m. ET.

The initiative is the first in a series of events from the Cosmos designed to honor America’s military leading up to the club’s 3rd Annual Heroes Night – Tickets for Troops dedication during the Jacksonville-NY Cosmos match Saturday night at Shuart Stadium at 7 p.m.

WHAT:          New York Cosmos Training Session at Pier 86 at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

WHO:             New York Cosmos squad including Coach Gio Savarese, Captain Carlos Mendes, Raúl, Marcos Senna, Lucky Mkosana, Haji Wright, Gaston Cellerino and Jimmy Maurer, and invited military representatives and Intrepid visitors.

WHEN:          1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday (September 8).
