Though General Manager Erik Soler has dismissed rumors linking the New York Red Bulls to Venezuelan international goalkeeper Renny Vega, the Vinotinto netminder continues to speak about a move to the Big Apple and potential interest from other clubs within Major League Soccer.

Following his club’s training session yesterday, Vega addressed his potential move stateside.

“Things are going forward very nicely,” the Venezuelan keeper told a gathering of reporters covering Caracas FC as they prepare for their participation in the Copa Libertadores. “Aside from the Red Bulls, another team came out (with interest).”

“Caracas is my home and I’ll play these coming Copa matches. After that, we can close out a deal with MLS.”
