United States Men’s International and AFC Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman has joined Scottish Premier League side Rangers FC on a six-month loan.
The 20-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Cherries at the beginning of the Premier League season, making his debut appearance in a League Cup match against Morecambe FC.
After half a year in Bournemouth, Dorset, the Dallas native was unable to make a senior squad appearance, resulting in him looking for game time elsewhere.
In an interview with Rangers.co, Hyndman expressed his desire to learn under Mark Warburton, “There were a few clubs in the mix and stuff, but the manager here really explained what he wanted to do, both with Bournemouth and with me. He’s developed players from the lower leagues to the Premier League, which is a huge achievement, so I knew he was well respected for that.”
