DANE RICHARDS HEATING UP
Finally, Dane is back.
Following up on his goal last week, Dane Richards enjoyed an active performance, running the Chivas defense into the ground and nailing a vital feed on Kenny Cooper’s game tying notch.
“You need pace in this league. That’s why we keep him on the pitch almost all the time because sometimes he’s just running in behind and having an assist or things like that. I just hope we can keep working with Dane and make him a little bit more consistent to create chances,” Red Bulls coach Hans Backe said.
With Richards and Lindpere returning to form, and the team nursing it’s way back to health, New York is beginning to look healthier and more dangerous heading into a forgiving break in the schedule.

Honestly, I could care less if they dint speak to the media. So long as point are attained I am a OK.
We looked better with 10 players against Montreal than 11 with Marquez on the pitch. He just doesn’t care. Dax played holding mid and attacking mid and ran the entire 90. Rafa… lost the ball a few times and tried a few long ball passes that were largely gobbled up by a well organized Chivas back line.
When will MLS exec’s realise that bringing in high profile foreign players not draw thousands of new fans of the same national origin?
While it is true that a snub usual follows a loss or a calamity, I can see why it happened here. This loss was dissappointing. As a fan, I was very upset after this game. I was livid, in fact. We should have won this game, despite Minda, and JPA, and the fact that Hans used zero subs, or whatever else. We should have won. And this historic streak of 6 wins was not achieved. It was upsetting. This draw was a major letdown. So, I’m not surprised about them not being available. What I’m more intrigued about is the nature of the snub. All this sneaking around, etc. I know you don’t want to speculate. That’s good. No need to spread rumors, etc. BUT MY CURIOSITY IS RUNNING WILD!! WHAT WAS IT?
The draw is a let down but sometimes you get the breaks (see last 5 games) sometimes you don’t (see Chivas game).Team didn’t look bad but could look more dangerous getting into the 18.
Dane is getting better for this season – needs more consistency.
JPA – probably would hopped around on 1 leg to play. He definately turned back the clock.
Marquez had more hustle and showed more caring then he has shown in long time. I am not saying he is Dax or Joel but it stood out to me as a lot more. He even hustled out to the wing a few times!
I still think they play too much slow possession with him on the field. I like having more direct attack when Joel is center. That could be Marquez or could be Backe’s direction.
Nice summary of the game. I guess getting a draw despite all of those chances is better than losing. The pressure certainly made for an exciting end to the game. I can also agree with the review on Dane, but any benefits to come from his aggression were lost by not passing to retain team possession; Dane’s work was certainly better than the lost chance Miller had on his run up the left in the first half when he went for goal. Miller could have been subbed for Lade in my book. To me, TH14′s passion to score was only hindered by his getting caught offsides. Dax and Brandon were very good, but Rafa could work smarter. Joel should be more central, but was still successful on his side. As for JPA, I’m glad the fans were able to show the love for the team’s all time scorer. His non-celebration just confirmed his class.
TIP 6 – AFTER trading a RBNY player that player is NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY AGAINST US FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!!
damn how many times has it been a former red bull to score the draw or winner.
