KENNY COOPER IS FOR REAL
He may not do it in the prettiest of ways, but he does it. Kenny Cooper continues to net goals for New York in crucial times, even without Thierry Henry on the pitch.
His game winner, off of a beautiful Rafa Marquez feed, put the Red Bulls up for good and sealed the team’s first victory at PPL Park. While his famous striking partner has been out, Cooper has kept busy scoring a pair of goals in four matches, while taking 14 strikes on net.
“Well I think everyone may always hope for the best,” he said after the Red Bulls victory. “This run that we’ve been on, we’ve done it against some very good teams going on the road as well. It definitely feels good and hopefully it’s something we can continue.”
So long as he is scoring, that outcome seems likely.

Takeaway #6: Lade > Miller
Though Miller is clearly not up to his fitness yet, I would still consider him a step above Lade at this time. When he is clicking, he makes Joel Lindpere a more dangerous player, assuming the left cross role and allowing the Estonian to creep in. We shall see though …
I love how the little kid is wearing a Kenny Cooper jersey and doesn’t notice Kenny Cooper feet in front of him.
I also love that its impossible to get a shot of a player scoring away from home without someone flipping him off and someone screaming at him.
And being in first.
