JIMMY NIELSEN IS A BEAST
What more can be said here?
From his standup save on Kenny Cooper in the first half to his thunderous rejection of a Thierry Henry blast in the second, this was Nielsen’s night. Without question, he was the most important and consequential figure on either side of the ball.
“We knew it wouldn’t be easy today and I think the Red Bulls did an incredible job to make it very tough for us today,” Nielsen noted. “But you have to give us a lot of credit for the way we battled in there today. We can be very proud of the way we were battling today. We didn’t play our best game, but we fought as a team for 90 plus minutes.”
Luis Robles came up big in the final minutes but was rarely tested. Nielsen was huge all night long and that in itself deserves recognition.
