Former NYCFC defender Brovsky joins Minnesota United

The Jebi Knights have a new home.

Former New York City FC defender Jeb Brovsky has signed with perennial NASL power, Minnesota United.

“Jeb is an outstanding leader and versatile player and we liked what we saw from him in Mexico while he trained with us,” said United Head Coach Carl Craig. “He has a lot of experience and he brings a cool head and leadership to the team on and off the pitch.”

Brovsky joined NYCFC last year as a potential starter, but ended the year with just 15 appearances and 12 total starts. He was the team’s second ever signing, following Spanish legend David Villa.

NYCFC released Brovsky this winter, paving the way to a move towards Minnesota.

“This is a club that is clearly going places and has a very bright future so I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Brovsky. “I’m a versatile player with a winning mentality.

“I came here to win and I know the fans and coaches have the same expectations.”

Minnesota kicks off their 2016 season this Saturday April 2nd when they face the Carolina Railhawks at WakeMed Park.

    • Glad to see Brovsky land on his feet albeit far away. More than any other player he represented what NYCFC was all about. Hip hairstyle, ironic mustache. A man who knew his tofu from his humus and his Death Cab for Cutie from his Acid Jazz. He was not afraid to be vegan. He was not afraid to eat Korean BBQ. No matter what he did, he was hip. We NYCFC Supporters salute you, Jeb! No matter where you go, it will always be a little more like Bushwick because you are there!

at least his skills will get better in the NASL.

The Harrison Metrostars could use him with their swiss cheese defense

RBNY need help with their defense but they don’t need this scrub.
