MONTREAL — Familiar foes will meet once again in the MLS playoffs — thanks to Didier Drogba and the Montreal Impact.

A crushing 3-0 win by the Impact over Toronto FC at Stade Saputo on Thursday night sets up an Atlantic Cup reunion, pitting the New York Red Bulls against DC United.

The matchup is a welcome one for the Red Bulls. They are undefeated against DC this year (2-0-1), shutting out DC twice at Red Bull Arena and outscoring their rivals 7-2 overall. DC earned their spot on the back of an impressive 2-1 victory over New England at RFK Stadium on Wednesday. The winner of Red Bulls, DC move on to play the winners of Montreal, Columbus Crew. Both series will be decided on a home-and-home series, with the winners moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The first leg of the DC, Red Bulls playoff will come this weekend, November 1st at RFK Stadium at 3 p.m., with the second leg scheduled for Red Bull Arena on November 8th. The time for the second leg has yet to be determined.
