New York Red Bulls boss Jesse Marsch is as honest as they come, and this week on EoS Radio, he addresses much of the team’s issues – including the status of Amobi Okugo.

The California native has been trialing with the Red Bulls for weeks now, but Marsch reveals he will no longer be an option for the club.

“We decided not to pick up Amobi,” Marsch tells EoS Radio. “It was a tough decision because he actually did well, but we also feel we need to make a decision for the long term as well — not just a bandaid.”

    Probably unreasonable money demands.

Love the content but the audio levels/quality need to be ironed out. You couldn’t go inside with Patrick Vieira to interview him in the first podcast? Almost unlistenable.

    • Dave Martinez

This episode was better on the audio side. Ironed out of a few of the issues from episode one for sure.

As for Vieira, BELIEVE me when I tell you — I tried. I even offered for us to go in my minivan to interview, but the agreed location was the training pitch … and that is where we had to do it.

Hopefully, we can iron out logistics a bit better in the future.

      Thanks for the feedback!

Do people usually agree to go back to your minivan for “interviews?”
        .
        Asking for a friend.

Only when enticed by candy or chocolates LOL

God that sounds wrong … but trust me. Desperate times in a monsoon make you think of ANY solution to better the show.

          You crack me up LOL
