With two football matches happening on the same night, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich still managed to pack the house.

As the New York Red Bulls prepare to host Antigua at Red Bull Arena for their first CONCACAF Champions League match of the year, Madrid and Munich still managed to garner plenty of interest in their match. Mere hours prior to kickoff, event organizers announced a sellout crowd for this latest International Champions Cup battle.

Four-time defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are coming fresh off of their second ICC encounter of the summer — a 4-1 thrashing of Italian giants, Internazionale Milan. U.S. Men’s National Team prospect Julian Green scored a hat trick in the encounter. They lost their first match of the tournament against AC Milan at Soldier Field.

Real Madrid lost their first ICC match against Paris St. Germain but are coming off of a 3-2 victory over Chelsea in front of a record crowd of 105,856 in Ann Arbour — the second highest attended soccer match in U.S. history.

The match will be televised on ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes. ESPN3 will also livestream the encounter.
