HARRISON, N.J. – For the second time this year, New York Red Bulls Academy product Matt Miazga will be making a trip to Austria.

Only this time, it is with the U.S. Men’s National Team.

The Polish American defender joins the USMNT’s U-20 side from April 18th-26th in Linz, Austria for the penultimate training camp before the U-20 World Cup begins.

Miazga has slowly begun garnering minutes with the New York Red Bulls first team. However, he has been a fixture for Tab Ramos and his U-20 side, appearing in most competitions for the team over the past 24 months. Miazga is one of nine MLS players selected for the camp, which includes defenders Conor Donovan (Orlando City SC) and Erik Palmer-Brown (Sporting Kansas City); midfielders Allen (Real Salt Lake), Marco Delgado (Toronto FC), Romain Gall (Columbus Crew SC) and Roldan (Seattle Sounders FC); and forwards Pfeffer (Philadephia Union) and Tommy Thompson (San Jose Earthquakes).

The New York defender will be joined by former Red Bull teammate and Academy product Amando Moreno, who travels to Austria via club side, Tijuana of Liga MX.

Miazga’s selection will likely keep him out of a number of Red Bull matches, including Friday night’s encounter against San Jose, the Los Angeles Galaxy on the 26th, and possibly, Colorado on the 28th.
