U-20 U.S. Men’s National Team coach Tab Ramos has named a 35-player provisional roster for the 2015 CONCACAF Championship tournament, and has called in 21 players for a final camp before the competition begins in Jamaica.

Therein, two familiar faces have made the cut.

Current New York Red Bull homegrown player Matt Miazga joins former Academy and first-team mate Amado Moreno on both lists.

“I am looking forward to our last camp leading into U-20 World Cup qualifying, and there will be some very difficult selections in what we think is a very competitive, deep and united pool of players,” said Ramos. “They have performed well together over the past 18 months.”

Ramos will submit his final 20-man roster on January 2nd, magnifying the need for a strong performance from both U-20 stalwarts.  Camp begins December 28th in Fort Lauderdale, going through January 5th.

Four teams of the 12 CONCACAF sides competing in the tournament win qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup. In a departure from previous years, the tournament will be set to feature two groups of six teams, with the group winners of both A and B automatically qualifying for the World Cup, while second and third place teams on either side are matched in a playoff to determine the final two spots.

The U.S. begins their qualification against Guatemala on Friday, Jan. 9, at Independence Park in Kingston.
