New York City FC have parted ways with 2015 2nd Round Pick Connor Brandt and trialist Michael Farfan.

Brandt’s contract option was declined in the offseason but he was invited to preseason training in Florida. His name was not on NYCFC’s roster for its trip to Ecuador. The WFAN podcast Soccer in the City said Brandt has been released.

Brandt made one appearance in the 2015 season before abductor injury has kept him sidelined since May 2015. He had been able to train toward the end of the 2016 season. Brandt was the 23rd overall pick in the 2015 SuperDraft.

Meanwhile, Michael Farfan is off the coming roster for tonight’s clash against Emelec.
