New York City FC will kick off 2017 against a familiar opponent and a growing foe.

The team’s first match of the 2017 regular season will take place against fellow 2015 expansion side, Orlando City SC — home of former coach Jason Kreis. A week later, NYCFC host DC United — the first visitors to Yankee Stadium on the season. For NYCFC, it is the second time in three seasons that they open the campaign against Orlando, but this time, it will be in Orlando’s new stadium as their inaugural opponent.

NYCFC battled DC United in a memorable five-goal encounter, ultimately won by a 93rd minute Frank Lampard strike.
