Clint Irwin traded to Toronto: The Colorado Rapids have dealt goalkeeper Clint Irwin to Toronto. The Reds had been looking for a goalkeeper after the departure of both Joe Bendik and Chris Konopka this offseason. Irwin had 25 shutouts in 89 appearances for Colorado. The Rapids are reportedly seeking to make room for USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard, and those rumors have only grown in intensity given that they received targeted allocation money in this trade.

Mike Magee returns to LA: Mike Magee has signed with the LA Galaxy as a free agent. Magee was traded from LA to Chicago in exchange for Robbie Rogers early in the 2013 season. He finished that year with 22 goals, and was voted the league’s MVP. But injuries have sidelined Magee for much of the last two seasons, and he has scored just seven goals since. Magee is 31 years old.

Yura Movsisyan returns to RSL: After six years in Europe, Armenian forward Yura Movsisyan is returning to Real Salt Lake. RSL secured the striker’s transfer from Spartak Moscow this week. Movsisyan had 15 goals in 53 games for RSL from 2007-2009, before leaving for Denmark. He most recently played for Spartak Moscow, where he had 25 goals in 62 games.

Reports link Nemanja Vidic to MLS: Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is reportedly in talks with MLS, and Chicago has emerged as a potential landing spot for him. Vidic, 34, was recently released from his contract by Inter Milan. Vidic is best known for having anchored Manchester United’s back line from 2006 to 2014, when he appeared in more than 200 games for the club.
