Anyone looking for to sign a celebrated 31-year-old World Cup veteran striker?

If so, Rayo OKC may have the right man for you.

According to several sources, North American Soccer League side Rayo OKC are currently shopping Greek star Georgios Samaras ahead of the summer transfer window.

Samaras joined Rayo this winter after failing to latch on with the Soccer Bowl winning New York Cosmos. The former Celtic FC star worked his way through a serious back injury before joining the expansion side as their highest profile player signing to date.

Despite his lofty resume, Samaras has not lived up to the billing. He has featured in five of eight matches for Rayo OKC this season but has only registered 189 minutes of play, producing no goals in limited action. In his start against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers this past weekend, Samaras played all of 54 minutes before receiving the hook from OKC boss Alen Marcina.

Even with his lack of production, Rayo have impressed in their inaugural campaign, as they currently sit eighth in the Spring table with a 2-2-3 (9 pts.) record. Rayo visit the New York Cosmos this weekend at Shuart Stadium.
