Federico Bravo is one step closer to joining New York City FC.

EoS has learned that the Boca Juniors midfielder has joined NYCFC for preseason training but has yet to finalize any move to the club. This falls in line with declarations made by Bravo last week where the 23-year-old Argentine projected signing with the club by the end of this week.

Bravo was seen walking off NYCFC’s bus at Al Lang Stadium in Tampa before the team’s friendly match against the Montreal Impact Wednesday night. He is reportedly set to join NYCFC on loan for the 2016 season. According to NYCFC Nation, NYCFC can seal Bravo’s permanent transfer for $1 million. EoS could not confirm the number at the time of this report.

However, NYCFC have yet to have formal negotiations with Bravo and it is possible that the club hold off on that until getting a chance to see him train. Should the club opt to sign Bravo, it will also have to acquire an international roster spot or remove one of its ten international players from the first team roster.
