For the fourth time in 14 months, Crystal Palace face a vacancy at the touchline.

The Eagles sacked Neil Warnock just four months into his tenure as manager following a 3-1 loss to Southampton that buried Palace into the relegation zone.

Life would never be easy for the career Championship boss following the success of former boss, Tony Pulis.  The 2014 manager of the year left Palace two days prior to the start of the campaign.

After just three wins and nine losses in 18 matches, the board saw enough to seek new options.

In a terse statement, Palace offered “The club would like to put on record its thanks to Neil for all his hard work and energy over the past four months.”

Assistant manager Keith Millen will take the helm for this Sunday’s critical relegation battle against Queens Park Rangers.

Warnock becomes the first Premier League manager this campaign to face the sack.
