No matter where he is playing or how old he may be, the Italian National Team still clearly has a home for Andrea Pirlo.

Italian boss Antonio Conte announced the Italian Euro qualifier rosters this Saturday which include New York City FC’s midfield maestro.

Pirlo has played an integral part in the recent good form of NYCFC, helping to keep the club in postseason conversations. Despite playing less than half the matches of team leader David Villa, Andrea Pirlo is third on the club with five assists in just 11 matches this season. NYCFC are 5-5-1 since his arrival. While that may not seem like much to brag about, it is compared to the state of the team when he arrived, holding an unsightly 5-10-6 overall.

Conte also proved to be unaffected over where his star players plied their trade, calling in Toronto FC striker Giovinco, who is having a monster season for the revived MLS club.

Italy takes on Azerbaijan away on the 10th before taking on Norway at home on the 13th. With the international break, Pirlo will miss no time with New York City FC.
