The Italian maestro still has a role to play with the Old Lady.

According to Tuttosport, New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo has struck a deal with his former club Juventus to become the club’s ambassador.

The report suggests that Pirlo had never cut ties with Juventus and is already in discussions to make a return to Turin.

With Pirlo turning 38 in May, his days as a player could be nearing an end.

Pirlo is currently under contract with NYCFC for the 2017 Major League Soccer season.
