After an unforgettable 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Union last week, NYCFC will hope to continue their hot form in Seattle against the Sounders on Saturday.

New York City FC are still beaming off of their terrific offensive performance against the Union, where New York saw all three of their Designated Players start side by side for the first time this season. What resulted from the star power was an interesting game that saw Villa, Pirlo, and Lampard score, causing people to remember why NYCFC spent all that money in the first place.

On top of New York’s Designated players’ charismatic performance, rookie sensation Jack Harrison displayed a Man of The Match performance that had Captain David Villa smiling ear to ear for the kid.

“Jack is always 100 percent concentrating. The team is better with him. He’s really good for the team and obviously for me,” remarked Villa.

The Seattle Sounders will be coming off a depressing loss to the New York Red Bulls that saw Long Island native Mike Grella score a terrific brace.

Seattle has remained inconsistent all season, currently sitting ninth in the Western Conference table, only five points behind a potential playoff spot.

NYCFC will look to continue Seattle’s misery against New York sides as they prepare to travel to the loud CenturyLink Stadium.

Seattle will still be missing their star striker Clint Dempsey due to the United States’ third place match in the Copa America on Saturday. In addition, Panama defender Roman Torres has been listed as out.

New York will be missing Connor Brandt, Federico Bravo, and Steven Mendoza (Core Muscle) due to injury as well as Jason Hernandez, who is suspended one match due to last game’s red card.

The game will take place on Saturday at 5:00 PM EST in Seattle, Washington at CenturyLink Stadium. The match will be aired nationally on ESPN.
