While the Papal conclave continues to eat up airtime, it is another Catholic event which will effect the Red Bulls’ precious local network time slot this weekend.
The St. Patrick’s Day parade has officially bumped the much anticipated New York Red Bulls v. DC United rivalry feature off of WNBC 4 NY. It will now air at it’s previously scheduled 12:30pm time slot on the obscure COZI-TV network.
Never heard of it? You aren’t the only one. Here is the channel information for all local providers:
Over the Air: 4.2
Time Warner Cable: 161
Cablevision: 109
Comcast: 248
Verizon FIOS: 460
RCN: 28
The match will also be streamed online on both NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra App. For the Spanish speaking audience, 1050 ESPN Deportes will be running the match with pre and post-game coverage.
While this is certainly a disappointment, not all is lost. Here is this week’s Red Bull Roundup:
RBA TO HOST GOLD CUP MATCHES
For the second consecutive Gold Cup, Red Bull Arena will host tournament matches. Back in 2011, RBA hosted a packed house for a double header featuring Guatemala v. Grenada (a 4-0 win for Los Chapines) and Honduras v. Jamaica (a 1-0 win for The Reggae Boyz).
This year, they will host another double header on July 8th featuring El Salvador v. Trinidad & Tobago in the first game at 7 p.m. ET. followed by Haiti v. Honduras at 9:30 p.m. ET.
JUNINHO, MEARA BACK IN TRAINING
Reports out of Red Bull training this week have Juninho and Ryan Meara back in full training. Their availability is yet to be determined.

TIM CAHILL CALL UP
It looks like both Roy Miller and Tim Cahill will be out for the Red Bulls away fixture against Montreal next week. Both men have received the call from their respective national teams.
