It looks like Jesse Marsch is staying in New York.

EOS has learned that FC Red Bull Salzburg has no intention of signing New York Red Bull head coach Jesse Marsch. According to a Salzburg spokesperson, the Austrian club is happy with their current manager Oscar Garcia and have no intention of making a change at this time.

“With Oscar Garcia we are having an excellent Coach, with whom we reached the double (league title and Austrian Cup) a few month ago, and who has a contract for one and a half years more. We don’t think about changing something in this position.”

Current Red Bull Salzburg manager Oscar Garcia has enjoyed a successful two year run with the Austrian team, earning the league title, an Austrian Cup, and frequent spots in the UEFA Champions League. He was recently linked to a move to La Liga side Malaga, but that report never materialized. Garcia joined Red Bull in 2015 after short spells with Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv and English Premier League side Watford FC.
