Red Bulls announce 2013 preseason schedule.

rbnylogoRoughly around this time last season, former coach Hans Backe had gathered the Red Bulls on the icy hard pitch of Montclair to get a jump start on the coming season.

This year, New York’s preseason will be as condensed as the MLS offseason itself.

Unlike past years, New York will keep it domestic – only traveling to Florida and Arizona. First stop? Bradenton from the 22nd to February 1st. Their first exhibition will be on the last day of the Bradenton camp against the Columbus Crew.

The Red Bulls will return home for 10 days prior to their travel to Arizona to take part in the annual Desert Cup tournament.

Jan. 21: Players report to camp

Jan. 22-Jan. 31: Team trains in Bradenton, FL (games TBA)

Feb. 1:
Red Bulls vs. Columbus Crew in Bradenton, Fla. Return to NY/NJ area.

Feb. 11: Team travels to Tucson, Ariz. for FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup

Feb. 13:
Red Bulls vs. Real Salt Lake at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. (time TBA)

Feb. 16: Red Bulls vs. New England Revolution at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tucson, AZ (time TBA)

Feb. 20: Red Bulls vs. Seattle Sounders FC at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. (time TBA)

Feb. 23: FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup first/third-place match (time TBA)

Feb. 24:
Return to NY/NJ area.

March 3: Red Bulls vs. Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field at 7:30 p.m. ET (TV: ESPN2)
