Babajide Ogunbiyi and the New York Red Bulls are simply not meant to be together.
For the second time since 2009, the team and Ogunbiyi have parted ways.
After being drafted by New York three years ago, the 6’4″ Rochester, NY product rejected a low ball, entry level salary to ply his trade in MLS, electing instead to try his hand in Europe.
With a few years in Denmark under his belt, the Santa Clara University product finally put pen to paper with the Red Bulls on July 31st – a mere 17 days ago. Today, the Red Bulls terminated their agreement, citing the findings of a physical examination.
“During our standard, thorough physical, our medical team noticed an issue regarding Jide’s health,” said Red Bulls General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. “Over the past few weeks, Jide has consulted extensively with our doctors as well as other practitioners. We thought that after receiving all of the information available, it was best that we part ways at this time. We wish Jide the best of luck and success in his future endeavors.
“Respecting Jide’s right to confidentiality, we will not comment further on the medical issue.”

Just curious but I wonder what the current depth chart at CB looks like? Assuming everyone on the roster is healthy.
