According to ESPN FC, Arsenal and United States Men’s National Team youth product Gedion Zelalem is wanted by Borussia Dortmund.

Born in Berlin, Germany, Zelalem began his youth career with German side Hertha Berlin before making a switch to Arsenal in 2013. After three years in Arsenal’s youth system, the 19-year-old has trained with the first team as well as enjoyed a successful loan with Scottish side Rangers FC. He registered seven assists through 22 appearances across all competitions.

Zelalem has represented both Germany and the United States at the youth levels. Although born in Berlin, the midfielder immigrated to the United States in 2006, where he remained until his eventual move to Arsenal.

Revered as one of the United States’ top prospects, Zelalem could join fellow American prodigy Christian Pulisic in Dortmund. Zelalem has yet to make a senior appearance for Arsenal; however, the 19-year-old has started in preseason friendlies for the North London side.
