Reports: Klinsmann Linked to Everton – Again

by DENY GALLAGHER

Reports out of England continue to suggest that Jurgen Klinsmann has been pegged as a potential replacement for embattled Everton manger Roberto Martinez — if the club decides to part ways with the Spanish skipper.

The circulating reports gained steam Wednesday morning when ESPN commentator Ian Darke tweeted about the Merseyside rumors.

Speculation of a departure for Klinsmann from U.S. Soccer has been brewing over the past few weeks after the German put his Newport Beach, California house on the market in March.

It is important to note that the German was in attendance at the Stubhub Center on Sunday night to take in the LA Galaxy and Portland Timbers match.

As for the position itself, Martinez is set to meet with Everton executives after this afternoon’s match against Crystal Palace.

Everton currently sit at 14th in the Premier League table.
