The New York Red Bulls continues to stockpile young talent, with the latest addition being Harvard midfielder and U-23 academy prospect Tim Schmoll.

The Swiss international signed a USL contract to compete with New York Red Bull II.

In four seasons at Harvard, Schmoll played 61 games, earning 40 starts. As a midfielder, he scored ten goals with six assists. Along the way, he was named All-Ivy First Team as a junior and was named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire Third Team All-Region.

Last season, Schmoll played for the Red Bull U23 team as part of the PDL side that went 9W-2L-3D. The team also went to the PDL Championship game before falling to K-W United FC. During the season, he played as a center back, making an adjustment from his years at Harvard.

Schmoll will join a New York Red Bull II team that has seen significant changes this off season with Leo Stolz, Santiago Castano, Chris Tsonis and Marius Obekop leaving the team. New faces such as Brandon Allen and Stefano Bonomo should feature prominently alongside Schmoll in 2016.
