No one knows what the future holds for Thierry Henry, but Portland wasn’t taking any chances.

The New York Red Bulls captain came off the field in the 47th minute to a standing ovation from the crowd at Providence Park.

Henry, 36, is finishing off the final year of his contract with the Red Bulls and there are strong indications this may be his last. If indeed it is, MLS fans took their chance for one final — and memorable — goodbye.

Check out his sendoff below:

Even as a Spurs fan, he has won me over at the Red Bulls (as much as it pains me to admit it).
