download-1EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — When you have an opportunity to photograph two of the biggest and best teams in the world, you jump at the chance.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of covering a sold-out exhibition game between Barcelona and Juventus in the International Champions Cup tournament at MetLife Stadium.

Some of the world’s premier players were there, such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Gianluigi Buffon and the much-discussed Neymar. Neymar is considering a possible switch to Paris St. Germain. Nothing will be definite until it’s definite.

Neymar, surprisingly, was in Barcelona’s starting lineup and managed to put a show on for the 82,104 people in attendance, a record for a soccer match in New Jersey. Neymar scored two goals in the first half, which proved to be the game-winners goals in the 2-1 match. Every touch of the by ball Neymar and Messi brought fans to their feet. The crowd was electric. It’s not every day fans of these clubs can witness their team live and in action.

The second half had Juventus cut the lead to 2-1 with a goal from the veteran defender Giorigio Chiellini banging in a header from a corner kick. Unlike Neymar’s celebration, Chiellini was all business as he tried to get his team back into the game.

Neymar may or may not be leaving Barcelona for Paris St. Germain. For an afternoon his address was MetLife Stadium.
