Tyler Adams’ sensational first year as a professional soccer player continues.

The New York Red Bulls homegrown product capped off a U.S. U-20 National Team romp over Costa Rica with the final goal of a 4-0 victory. Real Salt Lake homegrown product Sebastian Saucedo opened the scoring with a brace, with Jeremy Ebobisse scoring the third goal and Adams netting the final goal.

This is the first of two matches for the U.S. against Costa Rica in the team’s weeklong training camp. The team is in Costa Rica through the 20 and are due for a rematch on the 19. The camp is in preparation for the coming CONCACAF U-20 Championship, held from Feb. 17 – Mar. 5. Winners of the tournament will then go on to the 2017 U-20 World Cup, to be held in South Korea.

Adams, 17, made his first senior team appearance in MLS this season with a 45 minute cameo against San Jose last April in a 2-0 loss. Adams played 18 matches with the Championship winning Red Bulls II reserves in USL.
