“Cal FC” was trending last night across America – and with good reason.
Eric Wynalda’s merry band of castaways and never-beens dispatched the Portland Timbers in spectacular fashion. Surviving a shelling that included 43 shots, 11 corners and a penalty kick, Cal was able to take Portland into overtime. The little team that couldn’t, did, finding the net in the 95th minute and holding on for a victory that made yesterday’s Revolution loss to Harrisburg look respectable.
Grab your coffee and get comfortable; you don’t want to miss these highlights.

made Revs loss to Harrisburg respectable – Ha Ha
Never been so excited for a result.
You know Cooper is thinking I would’ve made that PK.
He won’t ever admit that though :)
That last save was the only one that really challenged Carillo. All those shots and that PK launch was just unbelievable by the Timbers.
Games like these are what the USOC is all about.
Cal FC was trending WORLDWIDE for at least an hour, not just across America. As was Timbers. Didn’t realize so many people followed the USOC.
