As the summer transfer window comes closer to an end, NYCFC continues to make moves in order to bolster their roster for the second half of the season.

Patrick Mullins is on the move

With reports swirling around today that Patrick Mullins is on his way to DC United, NYCFC head coach Patrick Vieira quickly addressed the media to discuss the situation.

When asked why the striker wasn’t at practice, Vieira replied by saying, “We had an offer from a team and there is nothing agreed yet. We are just talking and a decision will be made by the end of the day.”

The news of Mullins’ potential move broke at mid-day by the Washington Post’s Steven Goff, who reported that NYCFC would move the 24-year-old to D.C. United for allocation money and an international roster slot.

Maxime Chanot Update

Another face missing from practice today was newly signed Luxemburg international Maxime Chanot. The 26-year-old recently joined Patrick Vieira’s side later last week but has not participated in an official practice.

When asked about the defender’s absence, Vieira replied that “Maxime [Chanot] will join the squad when his paperwork is done.”
