WATCH: Henry reveals he’ll retire in MLS, says Messi “one of the best in history,”

Thierry Henry has certainly been making the media rounds.

In this interview with ESPN Deportes, the Red Bulls’ captain talks about his future and also lauds over the play of former teammate, Lionel Messi.

“I played with him. I saw him everyday in training. You have to enjoy watching him every game because I don’t know when we’ll see another player like him,” Henry noted. “If he isn’t the best, he could be the best in history. I know Argentinians will say he needs to win the World Cup and all that, but let’s wait for him to win it.”

On his own future, Henry was equally candid, ruling out a return to Europe and embracing his time in Major League Soccer.

“I think that my career will end here,” he revealed. “I did what I wanted to do in Europe. I have to move forward. I am happy here. I have a very difficult challenge here with what I am going to try to do with my club. Europe has already passed (for me).”
