When Tigres scored the first goal of this match, all seemed lost for the Sounders. The home side was lifeless and uninspired to start this second leg of their CONCACAF Champions League match and now they were down two on aggregate with just over 45 minutes to score three goals.

A late half red card opened the door for a comeback and the Sounders bombarded Tigres in the second to advance.
